43. Asking for Help

Master's Message children's class discussion topic of the week.

Champions and leaders get to the top by asking for the help of others. It is almost impossible to become successful at anything on your own.

Famous people such as martial arts champions, inventors, scientists, presidents and movie stars have all got to the top with the help of others and by having the courage to ask for help.

They ask others for assistance, knowledge, information, tutoring and support.

Even if they feel shy, embarrassed or stupid, they still ask, so they can learn, develop and achieve their dreams.

Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. It shows that you are brave and want to learn.

It's actually a smart person who asks questions when they don’t understand something.

When you ask for help, you learn and develop faster.

It prevents problems from getting bigger. Small problems can grow if you keep them hidden inside. Asking for help early can fix them before they get worse.

Here are some ways you can ask for help:

“Can you help me, please?”

“I don’t understand. Can you explain?”

“I’m having trouble with this - what should I do?”

Can anyone tell me about a time you asked for help and how it turned out well.
